Pre-Mature Death
Sleeping is considered to be a good habit for a healthy life style but now a recent study has showed up that if the normal sleeping activity is performed too much less or more than the average 6-8 hours then it can take the person towards premature death. The study has been taken over 1.3 million people worldwide and the results obtained are totally surprising. The study was taken by some medical experts and first author Professor Francesco Cappuccio, who heads the Sleep, Health and Society Programme at the University of Warwick, he and colleagues found that a person who sleeps less than 6 hours in a night has 12 percent higher chances of premature death as compared to one who sleeps 6-8 hours a night.
Now it was also found that not only sleep deficiency can cause death but sleeping more than 9 hours can also be linked to the pre-mature death. Cappuccio, who is also Consultant Physician at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, suggested in a press statement “Whilst short sleep may represent a cause of ill-health, long sleep is believed to represent more an indicator of ill-health”. This study has thus open up new ways for the future researchers and we have to see that what actual amount is good for health and why, as we have seen that too much or too less both are quite bad for a person’s life and health.
