Running is recognised as a good cardio exercise as well as a great option for keeping yourself fit, but at the same time sprained-ankleit’s also linked with various injurious. Various body parts like- knees, hips, feet, legs, things etc can be injured. For professional runners these sorts of injuries are the normal parts of their lives.

•    Snapping hip syndrome categorizes three common hip problems. When the Iliotibial band snaps outside of the thigh the first problem occurs. In case of the second problem it occurs when the deep hip flexor muscle snaps over the front of the hip joint. When a cartilage or labrum tears around the hip pocket it creates a snapping sensation. This leads to the third problem.

•    People can experience the inflammation on the outer portion of their hip joint, which can even cause pain while moving your hip. This condition is also known as bursitis.

•    Pulled hamstring is a muscle injury, which is quite common in sports.

•    Because of the inflammation at the thick ligament in the base of the foot, people can experience the pain at the heels , which familiar as plantar fasciitis.  Runners can also develop irritation under the arch portion of their foot, which is called arch pain.

•    Other prevalent injury are chondromalacis, generalized knee pain, patellar tendonitis etc. These all can be classified as patellofemoral syndrome. People can also experience the knee pain because of its dislocation. Problem in the knee joint lining is familiar as plica syndrome. Because of tissue inflammation pain can develop.

•    Among runners ankle sprains are found to be quite a normal problem. Early detection with proper treatment is the best way to solve such a problem. Athletes can also develop the pain at the back of their ankle in the tendon, which known as Achilles tendon. Early treatment is very necessary for such medical condition.

•    In leg injuries shin splint pain occur because of bones, muscles etc disorders. Among female runners stress fractures of hip is quite common. Lack of balanced nutrients can develop the stress fractures. Runners can also experience the pain at the front portion of their leg or whenever moving their legs (exercise induced compartment syndrome). Fasciotomy surgery is a good reliever from such pain.

•    Hip stress fractures are found also quite prevalent among long distance runners. In high impact games athletes are found prone to it.
