This thing is accepted by many health experts that the moderate drinking
habit don’t carry the drastic affects on the health of individuals but a new research has proven this concept a bit wrong. A new research led by Marilyn L. Kwan, a researcher at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, California shows that drinking even moderate amount of alcohol may raise the risk of breast cancer recurrence in some women.
While discussing about this issue Kwan said that the findings are “consistent with what we already know about alcohol’s role in increasing the risk for developing primary breast cancer” and further “But I want to emphasize that women who consume less than three to four drinks per week didn’t see any increased risk in terms of recurrence or breast cancer death”.
For the sake of finding out the relation between breast cancer and alcohol drinking, the researchers asked a group of women to complete a dietary plan that will indicate their daily routine consumption of alcohol or wine.
Dr. Paula Klein a medical oncologist and breast cancer specialist at the Beth Israel Comprehensive Cancer Center in New York City also discussed on this issue and support this research, according to her this research is a good way to discuss even the small isues related with women.
